No, I do not recommend this property.
This hotel is tired, along with Daytona Beach. Our room on the 5th floor with ocean view had beds that sagged, squeaked, had rust & mold around the bathroom doors & walls, had to request a bathtub drain plug it was so rusted out they would have to drill it out. The photos in their gallery don't match up to the hotel, did not eat at restaurant, nor was I given any perks for being an Elite Member of IHG. Parking is very limited onsite you have to walk across the busy highway to park and get to and from the hotel. The lobby is nice looking, staff at desk was nice but walking around from pool & parking area it was just staff smoking, would not recommend this place.

I stay here often, its very covenant to lots of places to eat, and get to. I need to say though that this place the rooms need serious upgrades, the HVAC is LOUD the 1st night it had to be turned off because it sounded like a mouse running in a wheel, add to that the toilet ran, along with the fridge humming, the tv/dresser cabinet was falling apart so when I opened the drawer the fridge stand fell inside, I received another room, and the HVAC was either burning HOT or just outside air cold, the fridge also just hummed would never shut off even after adjusting it and the cabinet door had to be left open otherwise it would vibrate LOUDLY. My neighbors thought its a great idea to blast their TV sets all night long and one decided that at 5am his iPhone alarm should just go off till after 6. My last night a new neighbor decided that playing his stereo LOUD and trying to talk over that would be acceptable as well, just don't understand these guests, the walls are not sound proof you don't have to yell to talk nor do you have to blare your TV set and radio keep your next door neighbors in mind they may need some rest as well and would prefer a quite room instead of the club like atmosphere you have presented itself.

I have made this my hotel of choice for several years, even during the construction nightmares in years past. The hotel has some very nice improvements that they have made, the sitting area in lobby above restaurant, the outdoor sitting area by pool, workout room has been upgraded. The rooms are much nicer and the AC actually works well, although the fridge is small and noisy but does cool. The rooms could use a bit more attention to cleaning, did find a few stained towels, along with clothes behind drawers, and some let over food wrappers inside hideaway bed. It can and will get noisy when the families all come back from Disney as their kids are all hyped up and parents don't understand or care to keep their kids quiet in hotels, even early in the morning they would yell, run hands down the walls, doors, etc. The staff is Great, always nice and helpful, Victor is a Great Asset to this Hotel. It did not seem the hotel restaurant got used much at all but the prices were above the normal so that probably explains why along with stiff competition from the area. Parking is ok but if you have a larger vehicle it will be more difficult for you even in the garage but still not bad. They have 1 elevator which can be very slow and full during busy peak times, I just took the stairs daily. 2 things I would like for them to improve on Free coffee for their guests (I don't trust the Kurig machines in rooms) the USA today delivered to our room for Elite IHG Members, well one more Express Checkout instead of tracking all your luggage down to lobby, wait for checkout, then back to elevator to garage, but huge improvements and would stay here again and again.

I've made this comment & review several times before but they just don't seem to get it or understand and respond to it. The noise level in the hallways after 11pm is BAD! People just don't get it that some of us get up early are light sleepers, etc and that talking loudly on your cellphone, or having your kids run up and down the hallways at midnight and yelling down to say goodnight to friends, etc is 100% acceptable. The HVAC units & Fridges all need to be replaced in the hotel, they are loud and don't cool rooms properly, other than that I have no real additional complaints staff seems nice even though most of the time its understaffed, parking can be a challenge sometimes, location is great lots of places to eat and you can get where you are going pretty quickly as well, If they would just improve on the above items this would be a terrific hotel to stay at.

My Family LOVES this Place! I could stop there but I have to Expand and go on and on.
They do have a few Cons:
Riptides (Inside) staff is awful at the very best, rude, LONG Wait times, incorrect food, but dinner for us on a not busy evening took over 2 1/2 hours and most was incorrect, since then I have spoken to the restaurant manager and he was addressing issues with his staff and all the negative reviews.
As with others the Beach Rental needs to be controlled to a small area not the ENTIRE Water Line and the rude behavior out of them is unacceptable.
Pool chairs get out early to get one before 7am
Movie night, the screen needs to be moved over to the area next to the kids pool to accommodate more chairs and better viewing
NO kids over a certain age or height along with no alcohol in the kiddie pool area, adults left open containers of alcohol in there since they could not find a place to sit or put coolers down and just left, older kids kept running back and forth letting little ones out because the gate did not shut all the way.

I travel all over the US spend over 200 nights a year in hotels and this one ranks UP in the TOP 2 maybe 3 range. Check in was quick, responsive, smiles by everyone, clean lobby. My UPgraded suite room was EXTREMELY Large and Very Comfy. TV was BIG lots of channels to watch. Back to Front Desk the young attractive lady gave me several places to eat knows the area very well and the Burger Place Sports Bar was Amazing and not far directions were right on. When checking out it was Thank You's Please Come Again. So If you are looking for a Great Hotel to relax while traveling or during business This is THE HOTEL! I am looking forward to making this my New Hotel Base when traveling to and from the PA area.

Checked in around 9:30pm and had to wait for a Front Desk person, she did not seem like she was wanting to help or work, another associate from my side of the counter interrupted us looking for a key which I thought was rude, room was large but not very clean, Not to bad but not great either, water inside room was nice, television is small, internet very slow, other than hearing the fans running in my neighboring rooms I did not hear any extra noises, except some outside traffic etc. As a TOP Elite IHG Member I get Extremely Used to the Express Check out but did not have that here so had to wait for front desk to provide that, lastly the food in the restaurant did not sit well with me, Nachos so that left a bad taste in my mouth and all night to the bathroom. I would stay here again OH keep in mind that parking is NOT next to the hotel it sits off aways and not great when its cold and raining.

Yes, I recommend this property.
First the Negatives, Hotel is being renovated so does not look the best on ground floor (for now) lots of highway traffic noise out front but it dies down around 11:30pm. Elevator is slow and they only have 1, when they have conference meetings parking is limited if the hotel is full. I did not receive anything as a Elite Member so I guess they don't offer things here.
Now for the POSITIVES!
Location, you have MANY places to eat from, even within walking distance.
Rooms are Extremely nice large (found some dirt & hair but not to bad# if you are a light sleeper like me request the backside of the hotel it will be much quiter for you. HVAC worked well and quiet #that's hard to find now days)
Staff was helpful, curteous and presented themselves well to guests.
The hotel is easy to get and out of.
USA today was delivered to my room each day something again several hotels are getting away from but I enjoy having it at my door each day.
TV has LOTS of channels offered, nice sound & clean picture
This will probably be my new Holiday Inn home when doing business in Harrisburg
I typically spend 200+ nights a year out of town and its hard to find hotels like this, once they finish with the renovations it will only get better.

No, I do not recommend this property.
3rd Attempt at posting a HONEST review of this hotel.
The Good First
1) Lots of Parking (well while I was there)
2) Pulling up to the hotel you think its New Updated
3) Lobby is nice, updated,
4) Internet worked well, even on TOP Floor
5) Convient to Airport

1) Staff NOT Friendly or Welcoming
2) after lobby you get to real part of hotel and its EXTREMELY Outdated & run down
3) Inside of the Eleveator looks to have been painted by 1st graders
4) My room was Extremely Unclean, had off white sticky stains on office chair arms, & what appeared to be a piece of PO on the floor by the bed, (HI refuses to allow me to post the photo)
5) Room loud LOTS of outside noise & neighbor noise
6) TV minimal stations and not great picture
7) Has a restaurant/bar/club next door, nice view but limited menu of options to eat & OVER priced but they don't have many options near this hotel.

As a Extremely Frequent Travelier 200+ nights out of town each year, this place would NOT be in my stay here again portfolio.

can you childproof balconys upon request?
the door handles that go out to the balcony are up higher and have to be lifted a certain way in order to gain access to the balcony, but as with any door leading to the outside you should watch your children

Is the pool zero-entry on one side (sloped, good for toddlers to get in)?
sorry, I was reviewing another location, this hotel does have zero entry pool. also has a baby/toddler pool but that one is not a zero entry.
