Vacation with Grandkids

We loved this resort! Am Priority club member and we picked this resort based on the ativities for our two Grandchildren! Stayed in the West Village and just loved it! The kids didn't even want to go back to Disney - so much for them to do at resort. Hope to go back next year spring break but do the two bedroom instead of studio, since they will be nine and eleven (girl/boy)

Second below par stay!

I have stayed here twice - and may well do so again - but there is always the feeling that money saving corners are being cut and the standard falls short of the Indigo experience elsewhere ...... This goes for the rooms, the catering, the facilities and even the staff. On my last stay the air con was not working in my room and had to change rooms - an upheaval to put it mildly!

Moving rooms is something no guest should have to go through and we apologize for the air conditioner malfunction. We assure you that our Engineering department performs regular maintenance and this glitch was out of the ordinary.

Loved your hotel, would and will stay again! Everyone was professional and courteous. I especially like the bar staff and the young man who was always there was so pleasant! Nice rooms too. Lovely place to stay in Sarasota and easy to get around to everything with a car.

great service and friendly staff

We were so presently surprised at the friendly greeting we received upon arrival. The front desk clerk was exceptional, best we have ever had in all the hotel stayers we have ever had. The room was lovely, and had a wonderful view. We had the breakfast the following morning, complimentary, and since we are use to breakfast included in our stay, we loved the entire experiance.

Very Pushy at check in but a great place to stay

We arrived afer a very long 2 days driving and just wanted to check in and relax. However checkin took over 30 minutes mainly due to the pushy staff tryign to get you to take a timeshare tour. Which even though i declined several times They did not seem to understand.
Once this was over though we had an excellent stay, The amenities and clean and resort staff at the pools etc are very friendly and helpful. The golf courses are good and the onsite restaurants are not too highly priced with the added benefit of delivery to your suites.
The rooms are very spacious and clean and beds very comfortable.
Wish they had complimentary shuttles to theme parks due to the proximity to the resort .
Thinking of staying again next year although the very pushy sales staff are making us have a few second thoughts

Needs tweeking

This is a beautiful and comfortable resort.
However, some things need tweeking to make this somewhere we would use again. Our room was great and uber clean!!
The master bedroom being in the front had two major flaws.
1. You can hear everyone coming and going into their rooms at ALL TIMES of day or night which woke us up numerous times.
2. Lack of privacy. If someone opens the door to go out whoever is in bed is fully exposed and anyone walking by even for a brief moment can see wo ever is in bed/half dressed.
The master bedroom being in the front had two major flaws.

Another issue for us was the "Nickel & Diming". Usually when you choose to stay at a resort it is all inclusive, that's why I booked it. I did not imagine that we would be charged to use an inner tube on the lazy river resort pool nor for miniature golf. We previously stayed at the Ron Jon resort in cocoa beach and everything except food and drinks were included. I didn't need to worry about additiional charges.

We always strive to make sure that our guests feel like we are their home away from home. We also always encourage our guests to let us know if there is ever anything that we can do to make your stay enjoyable. We were happy to see that you rated your individual areas of stay with us such as value, comfort, service and location as a five. However, we were disappointed to read that you felt your overall experience was less than those ratings. In response to your comments of feeling nickeled and dimed, Holiday Inn Club Vacations is not an all-inclusive resort. However, we do pride ourselves in being able to offer our guests more value in their stay. One way we do this is through our ability to offer our guests more amenities than you would find when staying at a standard hotel. All of our 7 pools and lazy river are complimentary for all of our guests to use. We also offer many more complimentary amenities such as fishing, walking trails, volleyball, waterslides, basketball, tennis and many other directed activities. However, we do offer some premium amenities such as golf, miniature golf, arcades, lazy river tubes, and access to the fun-zone that are available for nominal fees. A great way to take advantage of many of these premium amenities and still save money is to take part in our PlayPass program. Available in multi-day increments, these passes allow unlimited access to some of our more popular amenities such as miniature golf, tube rental and all of the fun activities offered in the Fun Zone. WE hope that you will return to visit us again, so that we can show you how much fun vacationing with us can be. Thank you for your review.

Excellent Value, Friendly Staff, Comfortable Apartment

This was my first time with Holiday Inn Vacation Club. I thought the standard was excellent, unfortunately we only had 3 days and did not get chance to explore the property further than the apartment. I would recommend your resort to anyone. This has been the best Resort I have stayed at in Florida.

Best Resort

This resort is the best resort I've been to. The resort property is set up like a mini town. You're close to a grocery store, restaurants, ect. There's a shuttle that will take you around the resort property. I will be visiting again in a couple of weeks.

I will be traveling with my 4 grandchildren, two of whom are under 12 years old. Will both of them be able to eat free breakfasts, or just one, since I will be the only adult with them?
